IPEK TURELI for Arthur Collin Architect

Ipek Tureli worked for ArthurCollin Architect in London in 1998 and 1999 as the project leader on competition entries ranging in type from innovative  housing developments to public-use buildings. Many of these projects won awards. Britannia Basin Housing Development received a commendation in the open competition organized by the developer Urban Splash for a brown- field development in Manchester. In this scheme, two new housing types provide an innovative alternative for the housing market. Dwellings are grouped into distinct “villas” linked with open timber decks and arranged over two levels giving a loft-like sense of spaciousness.
